That number jumped out at me too. That’s a lot of minutes (good ones, too – he’s top seven in the WHL in GAA and SV%).

Neuvirth was good last night for Hershey, but they lost in the shootout to Wilkes Barre/Scranton. 25 saves on 28 shots.

which, if any, youngsters get packaged up at the deadline?
I’ve never seen such G depth on a Caps roster. Can’t keep ‘em all, yet it’s the hardest position to project stardom…maybe GMGM gives it another year
I think Neuvirth is the only viable option. Varlamov has looked too good to move and as well as Holtby has played he was still a fourth round pick and a lot of guys who do well in the CHL don’t have NHL pedigree.
Maybe as part of a bigger package but he’s only been okay this year and his contract runs up in June. The Capitals could qualify him, so he won’t necessarily become a free agent, but I still have a hard time thinking anyone would give up anything significant for him alone.
???
Why would they? Jose is playing his best hockey of the year…you don’t bring up a first round keeper that mabye the future keeper to ride the pine….
The question that GMGM needs to worry about right now isn’t about the young russian, but how to get alzner back up to DC (down to?)
