A Call to Vote for Ovechkin this weekend

(shameless link sorry JP)

Caps Kremlin's campaign for Ovechkin.

Yes it's likely that Ovechkin will do a back-flip, bicycle kick the puck into the net and then shoot fireworks out of his stick and still lose this event due to text message voting.

Yes, Kovalev will have the Montreal fanboys behind him texting the very second the event starts.

And yes, fan voting is a horrible horrible idea, but what's even worse is not even trying to support your team.

So disregard your feelings toward fan voting and vote for Ovechkin this weekend.

That is all.

It has come to my attention that voting is limited to one vote per phone number, meaning, Montreal can’t spam the voting like they did for the line-ups. This is do-able people, get the word out, show Ovie some love.

Montreal is so crazy that i would expect each person to buy hundreds of pay as you go phones to get kovalev the win

CK, I love the idea and get the concept, but really…do we need another reason to crow? It’d be more satisfying for me frankly to see OV win without a single Caps fan vote, solely on the strength of the rest of the league’s fans.

I support “if he’s the best we vote” campaign rather than a “only Ovie” campaign. If Getzlaf blows our minds, he’s getting my vote, but I just want to call the troops to attention. At the end of the day, I just want to enjoy the contest as much as you guys do.

kind of feel the same way. i would rather vote for the best (almost certainly going to be AO), but to just vote for him with no thought at all, would put me on par with the montreal douches.

Count me in. Ovi deserves the love and needs to know that his fans back him. It matters to him, and for that alone I’d do it.
