I finish my hits all the time. There's always motivation in these games. There's always a little extra in the air, and that will be the case again tonight.

I actually don’t want to see that.

I’m sick of all this crap.
There’s one message that’s going to be sent tonight (certainly only one that matters), and that is “We’re a better team than you are.” The question is who’s sending the message.
Sorry to mini-rant – and it’s a good quote and FanShot – but it’s all media-fueled fluff when this team (whose mental state is more fragile by the day) doesn’t need it.

I’m not expecting anything out of the ordinary tonight, but the media seems to think an a-bomb is going to exploded when Semin and Crosby hit the ice.

Not fueling the fire
Yeah, I didn’t post it to add to the media frenzy, but just because I thought it was a funny quote from Crosby. I find it interesting that Ovie and Semin are always saying that there’s nothing going on and no feud when asked, but Poster Boy starts saying things like he always finishes his hits.

Good Story
Fake?
Last year, the night before the NHL award show in Toronto (yes, it’s televised here), I was at a nightclub where Ovechkin was partying. He got hammered and headed outside with some of his boys to head to the next stop. I was standing outside while my buddy had a cigarette when someone mentioned to Ovechkin that Malkin was also inside the club somewhere. Ovechkin’s response?
“Malkin’s here??? We’re going back inside so I can kick his Dracula-looking ass!!!” (paraphrased).
