FWIW, Hershey called up Dovgan to replace Godfrey who got hurt last night. So Hershey’s without Alzner, Sloan, Helmer, Lepisto, Collins, Arsene (injury) and Godfrey on the blueline. And yet they keep winning.

It kind of reminds me of when the Bears won the Calder Cup in 06, when they had to call up some random dude – Jeff State? – who had spent almost no time on the Bears roster that season, and it didn’t matter. Team just kept on a-rollin’.
Hershey keeps winning
because they are getting consistent goal tending from both goalies.
And it’s extending to the blogosphere – I tweaked my back lifting the baby this morning.

I went to the Bears game last night, and pairing Giroux with Aucoin is going to pay-off. The rookie line of Osala-Perry-Bouchard looked great…as usual. But Giroux was the right call-up as no other Bears player really stood out. Hell if he can lead the AHL in scoring, he deserves a chance at the next level.

Who would you like to see called up?
I vote for Theodore. They ought to send someone out to find him because that guy wearing #60 really isn’t cutting it. Granted he has the Who’s That of the American Hockey League in front of him, but I have yet to see him make a save when the team really needs it.
He made a rousing 3 saves out of 5 opportunities in the third period before the Caps emptied the net, a situation they found themselves in by his failure to cover the post when it dribbled out from behind the net – it wasn’t like it was a crisp pass to Stahl.
I am not one to tell Ted how to spend his money, but I sure wouldn’t complain a whole lot if they were to put him on waivers.
