I like to wait ’til the last minute. It brings me luck.

Game-Time Decision
The Wife is at her mom’s w/ the kid… and the laptop. Blast!
Do I watch the game on the non-HD TV in the basement where my iLamp is tethered to the FIOS modem to participate in this forum? Or do I watch it upstairs on the HD plasma and no Internet access?
What say you all?

Hmmm… option A benefits us, option B does not, so we collectively vote option A.

Locker

I don’t know why I hate him so much… but he’s freaking annoying.

At least he’s got Var-la-mov down.

JFC they can’t buy a bounce. Must be the condition of the ice. :)

I’m getting annoyed with this game being 0-0.

Does it look like the Caps are skating really slowly tonight? Like half-assing it?
Or is it just me?
Pick SPG for your chance to win probably nothing.
They had the one dominant shift, but other than that, it’s been crap.

It’s Jenny McCarthy’s “little” sister.

So, um… why weren’t the Caps better in the first?
Japers' Rink: Hockey blogging from the most powerful city in the world

did Semin forget how to play like he did at the beginning of the season??

He’s been shying away from contact a little.

Ridiculous move by Flash. Sweet.

I just have to share that I tutored Keith Tkachuk and Tony Amonte while at BU. Interesting times indeed.
Very nice.
I have to share that I have a Tkachuk Team USA sweater from the ’98 Olympics.

F’ing Semin didn’t even try to keep that puck in the zone on the PP.
One interview for Cosmo and holmes goes all soft?

This power play looks like two monkeys humping a football.

Well, at least now we know Eric Fehr is playing tonight.

Y’know, we don’t have enough folks using the “rec” on posts and comments. Rec’d.
Japers' Rink: Hockey blogging from the most powerful city in the world
Might these be the “Blue Notes” to which Joe B. keeps referring?
I hate them both.
So much.

Four minutes of PP time, 1 SOG.
Horrible.
Japers' Rink: Hockey blogging from the most powerful city in the world
Caps need an energy shift/fight. Now.
Japers' Rink: Hockey blogging from the most powerful city in the world
Varlamov seems to be the only one who cares about the game at this point.

My lord, the Flyers are gonna drink the Caps’ milkshake on Saturday.
Japers' Rink: Hockey blogging from the most powerful city in the world
I don’t get the reference. Does this involve boys, bringing, and/or yards?
Pick SPG for your chance to win probably nothing.
A little pine for Mike Green to start this PP?
Japers' Rink: Hockey blogging from the most powerful city in the world
THERE SHOULD BE NO BACKCHECKING ON THE POWERPLAY
sorry for yelling

Jesus. On what planet was that a good drop pass at the top of the O-zone?

I’m feeling a little Kozlove.
Sorry.

I’m happy for Gordo. He’s not having the best season so far…

That was some SWEET defensive coverage.

The S.O.B. line is back together (for this shift at least).

Jurcina should be convinced to punish opposing players who are foolish enough to lay down in front of his shot.
Meaning: Juice needs to shoot more.

No Mike Green in the last four minutes of the period.

Also rec’d. You’re pretty snappy with that scanner, sir.

You can signup for reminders.
Actually, one of the things on my to-do list is to make the reminder user-configurable. E.g., you will be able to set it to email you 1 hour before the game, if you so choose.
Nothing that’ll happen before the new year… but on the horizon.

I’m working on a similar upgrade, wherein Amy McCarthy comes to your house an hour before the game, if you so choose.

Jeff Halpern scores in his first game back for Tampa. That’s actually nice (so long as they still lose).

Everyone’s SPG points just got nudged up.

It couldn’t have been that weak-ass crosscheck that hurt him.
Pick SPG for your chance to win probably nothing.
I dunno – that was a strong shot to a guy with a wonky back to begin with.

“Refuse, yuck”
Or “Ref, you suck.”
Probably the latter.

Crush him hard, with malice aforethought
Although I’d still like the win.

The only thing the Caps should be selling right now are ass-kickings, and at bulk discount.
Japers' Rink: Hockey blogging from the most powerful city in the world
They should be handing them out for free
and in bulk quantities.

they don’t have that in teh Russian League, so yeah, mental mistake.

I’d venture a guess & say that the majority of your students don’t have a potential multi-million-dollar contract hanging in the balance.

That is VERY true
I bet he doesn’t make that mistake again.

Heh heh, you so-quickly-spoiled sonsa’ bishes, you :)
Nah, I know you’ve done your time and then some.
Lighthouse Hockey: an SB Nation New York Islanders blog with hip issues.
Nah, I’ll give Brash this one. He spent a lot of time out there between 12:00 and 15:00, and he was talking to Tkachuk at one point. I seriously thought the two of them were going to go off the faceoff, but Tkachuk chickened. He and Ovi were both crushing anything in a blue and white sweater that came in reach, and if he’d found someone willing, the gloves would have hit the ice. I’m sure of it.
Wow
Bolts V. Lanche shootout win for the ’Lanche with no goals scored in the shootout. woulda been better if it had ended 0-0 after overtime combined with said no goal shootout win.
(Avalanche got a ’throwing the stick at the puck" penalty shot “goal” – which was a great save BTW, and the stick was not thrown but merely dropped)
