A Tale of Two Alexes
Thanks to Alex Semin's lingering shoulder injury and a scorching hot November (more on that in a minute), Alex Ovechkin has taken the team scoring lead away from his fellow countryman, and may not be caught.
Here's a quick glance at how they two have gotten to where they are now:

Remember Ovechkin's slow start? Yeah, me neither.
After Semin was named NHL Player of the Month for October, it looks like Ovechkin could be in line for November's edition of the same honor. Currently, he leads all skaters with 24 points for the month (leading in both goals and assists), more than 26% more than his closest competition, and is plus-10 for November, all despite missing the month's first game.
Heaven help NHL goalies when these two get hot at the same time...

Another game at VC, another groin pulled. Another game, another key Cap goes down. Yikes.
Also, the new site is making my brain explode. This will take some getting used to.
The keyboard is mightier.
Ovechkin's Pace
Ovechkin had 22 points through the first 20 games last year. Despite the slow start, he’s ahead of the pace that ended with him winning the scoring title.
