Well, if the metaphor is that the season is going to be an awesome ride, then buckle me up!

On the Caps Report this week, they said that the Season Ticket Holder's Meet the Players party was at Six Flags on the 10/02. is this correct?

The Superman is indeed an awesome ride, and they look like they're having the time of their lives.

Great pic.

And OMG the look on Jose's face. XD

(icarus: True. It was a good party, and that's what that shot is from.)

"Which one of these things is not like the other, which one of these things just doesn't belong?"

How'd SHE get on?

Brashear looks adorable, he's like a child in a candy store.

Is that Ovie wearing the "C"?

by Shaggy on Oct 3, 2008 2:53 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Not to be petty, but I'm pretty dissapointed that for the last three years the caps have the meet the players party at some random time late in the season, when none of the prospects are still around.

The first year that I don't get season tickets, they have the party at Six Flags!

Cool picture, though.

Half the team rode that coaster like 15 times in a row after they were done signing haha. The Fans fileld in the front half and guys like Ovechkin, Fedorov, Semin, Kozlov, Bradley etc were all in the back.

So where exactly would the picture-taker be standing?

So let me see if I can get this right:

Steck - Someone (Shaone?)
Green - Backstrom
Clark - Muffins
Jose - Some chick
Brash - Kozlov?
Brads - AO

Is that right? Great pic though.

Fehr is next to Stecks
Johnson is next to Brash
Looks like Shaone behind Fehr

How many times do you get to see a roller coaster ride filled with nothing but millionaires? Only in America, baby!

Rock ON! They look like they're having a blast! :) And I'd say it would make a great metaphor for the season ahead: HAVE FUN!!! They play better when they're enjoying themselves, after all! :)

LET'S GO, CAPS!!!
LET'S GO, CAPS!!!
LET'S GO, CAPS!!!

Why, no, I'm NOT excited about the pre-season game tonight, am I? LOL!

This is one of the most hilarious snapshots ever taken. Talk about character study vignettes, here we have it. Ovie hair on fire wanting to plunge off a cliff. Joe-Say saying like sh!t, I am way too old for thiiiiiiisssssssss.....

Johnny saying oh crap there's a camera, quick make like you're having fun. Result: rigid "smile". Nicky saying god I love America.

It's really quite a wonderful pic. Thanks to Nate Ewell and JP. Classic!!!

Oh man, I wish I still had season tickets! Maybe next year.

I must have missed this...AO is wearing the C this year? No way.

by Hotdog88gt on Oct 5, 2008 2:55 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

AO wore the "C" in a preseason game in which Clark did not play, and that's probably the jersey they had on hand for the event. If you notice, Clark's jersey also has a "C" on it - he's still the Cap'n.
