From the CP:"Moose Jaw Warriors forward Joel Broda was named the CHL player of the week on Wednesday. "Broda had five goals and six points in three games, all Warriors wins. He also had a plus-4 rating for the week.
"The 18-year-old from Prince Albert, Sask., was a fifth-round selection of the Washington Capitals this year."
What the CP doesn't mention, sadly, is Broda's heroic, cup-caving blocked shot.
