The gentlemen at The Pensblog asked me to do a brief preview of the 2008-09 Caps for their fine site and I happily obliged. Head on over there to read what I threw together and don't be shy about making yourself heard in the comments (if and when they re-open posts for commenting, that is)... lord knows I'll probably need the back-up.

@ Hooks: Thanks. I didn't want to antagonize the natives too much, so I looked for common ground in jobbing the Flyers and Wyshynski.

I'm disappointed that they shut the comments down, though (obviously unrelated to my post) - I'd have liked to have gotten at least some abuse for my efforts.

Yeah, that is bizarre. The Pensblog is all sorts of weird these days.

They've been in some sort of funk lately...I think the boys could use a break and a getaway for a little bit.

I'm not sure why they turned off comments, I think some commenters were giving their graphics guy a lot of grief.

Earl's right, things have seemed really strange and odd over there in the past week, the writers don't really seem like themselves lately

Japers, you have the best caps blog. As a Pens fan in MD, I do look into what else is going on in blogsphere. By far yours is so much better than OFB's "Haven for the Hockey Malnourished" b-s. I base this on relevency to vital info about the Capitals team itself.
