Varlamov, Dovgan Take A Pass On Rookie Camp

Per Tarik, Simeon Varlamov and Viktor Dovgan won't be coming to town this week (or next) for rookie camp. The former was not unexpected, while the latter "came as a bit of suprise," and no doubt a disappointment to both the team and to fans who were hoping the young Russian rearguard would play a second season in North America.
In case you're wondering, the Caps signed Dovgan to a three-year entry-level deal back in December and Varlamov to a similar deal in July, so there's no imminent risk of the team losing their rights to either player.
